ReadirisPDF 23 will install and run on both Intel and Apple M based Macs. It supports both TWAIN and ICA (Image Capture application) drivers subject to the conditions outlined below.
These drivers are installed by the software for the scanner that you are using. When scanning problems arise it is often necessary to remove and reinstall these drivers particularly with a new macOS release.
When used on Apple M series processors TWAIN drivers are not supported by Apple.
In order to use a TWAIN driver the program needs to be run in Rosetta which emulates an Intel processor.
- Go to the Applications folder.
- Right or control click on the Readiris PDF 23 and choose Get info.
- Check the Open using Rosetta box and close the window.
