The scanner has a tiny amount of memory which is not used by the product. When you connect the scanner to your computer it mounts a disk drive on your Desktop.
You can simply ignore this.
When you unplug the scanner you will get a "disk not ejected properly" alert which is unavoidable. Click Close to close the message.
